SpoonCub vs SlickPOS: Which Is Better for Small Food Businesses?

SlickPOS is a cloud restaurant POS with billing, tables, and online-order hooks. SpoonCub is a narrower staff-ordering app for one outlet on a phone.

Choose SlickPOS when you want a cloud POS that also covers billing depth, inventory, and online orders from apps such as Zomato or Swiggy. Choose SpoonCub when the food business is small and the missing piece is staff taking orders on a phone.

SlickPOS presents itself as restaurant POS for cafes, QSR, and food trucks, with tables, kitchen tickets, reports, and aggregator connections. Check slickpos.com for what the current plan includes. Those extras matter only if your shift uses them.

SpoonCub will not pull aggregator orders into the kitchen. A food truck or cafe uses it as the pad: short menu, parcel or a few tables, checkout, and a split of today's cash and UPI. It installs from the browser. There is no Play Store app and no billing terminal to buy.

A practical split

  • SlickPOS if online-order relay, inventory, or a fuller POS is on your list.
  • SpoonCub if staff can learn the flow in one service: open, add items, take payment, close.
  • Ignore brochure modules you will not open in the first month.
